TMR and Hand Fed Herds:

Normal Producer: 0.04 lbs/day (1 scoop)

High Producer: 0.05 lbs/day (1 1/4 Scoop)

Extreme Heat or Stress: Increase to 0.06 pounds the day ahead of a heat wave and continue the day it cools down. Additional higher rates, as much as 0.1 lbs can be fed to hold intakes in extreme heat.

TMR Loading Recommendations:

• Load dry grains and Ocean Minerals first, layering P-One between one of those ingredients (Just not first)
• P-One can be included in pre-mixes if the pre-mix is fed within 24 hours.
• If dry hay is used, add after all dry grains and minerals
• Start mixer so to have all dry ingredients mixed before adding wet forages.
• All liquids, water, molasses, etc should be added as the last ingredient to the TMR.

• “We started using P-One and TracePac Gold in March 2022, but upgraded from TracePac Gold to Ocean Minerals in January 2024. We have noticed several improvements to our 50-head milking Jersey farm since starting them on Priority products. We’ve struggled over the years with ketosis and DAs, but after starting the herd on P-One and Ocean Minerals, we have had significant improvements in cow health. Thanks to P-One, we haven’t had issues with DAs or ketosis, and fresh cows clean very well. P-One is the starting point to gain these advantages. Cow heats have also improved significantly. Since starting the herd on P-One and Ocean Minerals, the hormone shot has not been needed to sync or bring cows in heat. The cows come in heat on their own and have good, strong heats. The majority come in heat within 30-40 days after calving, settle, and breed back. Vet checks are a lot less frequent and has saved us money annually. We have better calf health due to improved colostrum levels. We previously struggled with calves in days 7-10, but haven’t struggled with scours since starting our cows on P-One and Ocean Minerals. We are eager to evaluate how these early calves will calve themselves. Prior to working with Priority IAC, we were tracking colostrum, using a refractometer to test immunoglobulin. From late 2021-2023, immunoglobulin levels were averaging 16-22 g/L, with some levels as low as 12g/L. Adequate levels for good calf immunity should be at 25 g/L. Our cows started on P-One and Ocean Minerals in January 2024, and we tested the first fresh cows in February and March. Levels were averaging at 27-28 g/L. In Spring 2025, after just over a year using Priority products, we saw our highest immunoglobulin level ever, with one cow at 32 g/L! I’ve attended meetings with Richard who stresses the need for good forages, how to harvest and protect from mold. He also teaches the principles of Microbiology Nutrition. After making some forage changes, our rations have no dry hay or straw, all health issues have gotten better, and our mold issues are gone. We have never struggled significantly with heel hairy warts on the farm but have had them in the past. Since starting on Ocean Minerals, we haven’t had any new signs of heel hairy warts or foot health issues. The hoof trimmer is very impressed and compliments the good management, attributing this to Ocean Minerals.
