STRAINS TO SUPPORT LIVESTOCK

Smart Bacteria Priority IAC

Not all bacteria are created equal. For healthy animals, the specific bacterial strain truly matters. Priority IAC uses the most advanced microbiological, molecular-based, and DNA sequencing methods to identify and select the unique strains of bacteria that provide the best performance in animals. We call these strains Smartbacteria™. Our unique strains of Smartbacteria™ are the most impactful, targeted, and beneficial naturally occurring bacteria available on the market today, each with its own tried-and-tested function within the digestive tract.

Only the most effective strains of bacteria make the cut to be Priority IAC’s Smartbacteria™. We understand how to find and perfect those unique needle-in-a-haystack strains that make a real difference in animal health and productivity. These Smartbacteria™ are only found in Priority IAC products, with their presence and formulation in each product serving a specific role and function in the digestive health of the animal.

The unique strains of Priority IAC

Wondering what Smartbacteria™  are actually found in our products? Each unique strain found only in Priority IAC products is described and verified by its genus, bacterial species, and strain name.

Each strain works together and has an important role in helping support your animal’s health. We separate them into four main categories — gut enhancers, gut managers, pathogen inhibitors, and immune communicators.

Bacteria strains that fall in this category are chosen to help support and elevate the animal’s microbiome.

  • Lactococcus lactis A2020™: Helps promote  efficient use of sugars and has anti-inflammatory properties
  • Pediococcus pentosaceus A4000h™: Helps promote efficient use of 5 and 6 carbon sugars
  • Lactobacillus plantarum LP100™: Integrates with the intestine to help fight off disease-causing bacteria
  • Lactobacillus casei LC222™: Helps regulate the digestive system
  • Enterococcus faecium EF141™: Helps promote  efficient use of sugars
  • Lactobacillus brevis LBR1000™: Helps promote  efficient use of sugars
  • Bacillus velezensis 8G-134™: Helps promote efficient use of sugars

Our “gut managers” are the unique strains of bacteria chosen to help work on gut acid.

  • Propionibacterium jensenii Prop1-IAC™: Acid consumer

In addition to helpful bacteria, there are plenty of negative strains of bacteria that can make your cows, horses, sheep, and other livestock sick. As the name implies, these strains were chosen to help block unwanted or bad bacteria.

  • Bacillus subtilis B5000h™: Helps block harmful pathogens
  • Bacillus amyloliquefaciens BA900™: Helps block harmful pathogens

With the majority of your immune system tied to the gut, your herd’s digestive system and immune system are closely linked. These bacteria work to help regulate immune action to keep your animals healthy.

  • Lactobacillus reuteri 1E-1®: Helps modulate the immune system
  • Enterococcus faecium 2E-1™: Helps support immune response
